Some will say that Ken Penrod fishes for a living so that he can hunt for deer in the off-season, but his wife Maggie will tell you that Ken has no "off season." LOU serves most of the fresh and brackish waters in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and the District of Columbia for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, stripers, catfish, musky and other species. Pat has trained retrievers professionally for hunting and field trials since 1980. His broad background in training and handling a variety of animals and his foundation in obedience have instilled in him a lifelong passion for learning, and for acquiring and using the most efficient and effective training techniques.

Pat lives with his wife, Cynde, and two of their five children in Western Maryland, where he trains year-round. He has traveled and competed from Florida to northern Ontario. For many years, his family traveled with him, spending winters in South Carolina and summers in Canada and Vermont. Pat retired from competing in retriever field trials in 1999.
